George R.R. Martin has the lowdown on Gardner Dozois’ new anthology, The Book of Swords (which you can pre-order on Amazon now). Gardner asked me for a new Gorel of Goliris story (last seen in the British Fantasy Award winning Gorel & The Pot-Bellied God and in the BFS Award nominated Black Gods Kiss) – despite or even because of the fact Gorel’s a gunslinger who has no time for swords. Cue “Waterfalling”, a new novelette I had a lot of fun writing. The book’s out in hardcover in October, from Bantam. Here’s the full table of contents:
